Beginning her career as a makeup artist and creative consultant for national cosmetic brands, Colleen quickly realized her dream of working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles with such faces as Whoopi Goldberg, Janet Jackson, Vanessa Williams and Cher. Success in public relations soon followed, with Colleen becoming the Director of Public Relations and Special Events for one of the industry’s most prestigious beauty brands located in Beverly Hills, CA. Colleen forged groundbreaking opportunities for the brand in television, feature films and music projects, including The Billboard Music Awards, the Grammys, The Miss Universe Pageant, The People's Choice Awards and The Golden Globes. Colleen launched The Kirk Group in 1995, garnering a roster of global beauty clients and high profile pro athletes, signing Major League Baseball stars Eric Karros and Eric Young, among others, lending her talent as a publicist and spokesperson. For seven years, she provided PR services to fourteen-time All Star MLB legend Barry Bonds during his historic run to make baseball history. It was also during this time that Colleen also began providing PR services for film and television projects.
As Senior Unit Publicist and member of IATSE 669, Colleen has developed an extensive portfolio in film and television unit publicity for projects such as the Steve Nash documentary film, Some Assembly Required (Season 1), Paperny Entertainment, Corus Entertainment and the reality TV show Dussault Inc. With a current stellar list of clients that includes Steve Nash (2 Time MVP and NBA All-Star) Sports Clubs, Robbie Wyckoff, lead singer for “The Wall” Tour (Pink Floyd), Steve Nash Enterprises, Louis Van Amstel of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ fame, UFC GYMs, NBC Television (US) and reality TV personalities.
